Our mission is to make it simple and inexpensive for any campus or card issuer to have a state-of-the-art card program - without proprietary software, local systems or dedicated staff. We provide the market’s only turn-key card program management solution, delivering superior capability, service and performance for less than half the cost of locally-hosted card systems and management models. We started CardSmith in 2003 to create a better way for educational institutions to manage and leverage ID card programs. We believed then as now that educational institutions would benefit greatly from a comprehensive, managed solution that delivers quality outcomes and services without diverting campus resources from the core institutional mission. We developed new, IP-enabled payment technologies and business methods to create that solution, making it possible to realize dramatic scale economies in both transaction management and service delivery, and to provide stakeholders a higher quality card service experience. CardSmith is privately owned and managed by a team of professionals who have worked together building a track record of innovation and customer service in the education marketplace since 1995.
